Foodsday Tuesday: Salivating Over the Computer Screen

We can't believe we let this one slip through the cracks.

About six weeks ago, we were contacted about Viewzi, a visual search engine that is, at least on first glance, more user-friendly and far prettier than the aforementioned Cuil.

We haven't had a chance to really explore each of Viewzi's sixteen search options, but what we have discovered is their awesome recipe search, which pulls search results from Epicurious, Simply Recipes, 101 Cookbooks, and MyRecipes, then puts them all into a pretty Flash-enabled photo album full of mouthwatering recipes (see screen-cap, above). If you weren't hungry before checking out the site, you will be by the time you figure out what you're making for dinner.

The search engine isn't flawless yet—it only shows recipes with accompanying pictures, for instance—but it's a useful tool that we can add to our list of sites to check before heading to the grocery store. And we're not about to complain about something that makes our lives easier.
