Can't Miss This!

tragicomedy_joe_july282008.jpgTHE DIVE PRESENTS TO THE WALL PRODUCTIONS' FIRST BIRTHDAY
You can have your cake and eat it, too. And don't forget to indulge in some of the drinking games on hand to celebrate the first birthday of To the Wall Productions, the local initiative bent on keeping local thespians from feeling "constrained by commercial theater." We're all about that kind of acting-outside-the-box mentality, so we encourage you to head over to The Dive and celebrate the production outfit that promises such juicy material as The Vampire Lesbians of Sodom, coming to Philly Fringe this year.

If so, I've just blatantly generalized and labeled your entire culture, and you should shell out some of the proceeds from your, uh, "herb" garden to catch this music festival going down at the Mann Center tonight. Jack Bruce from Cream, Eric Burdon and the Animals, The Turtles featuring Flo and Eddie, Melanie, Badfinger featuring Joey Molland, and Jonathan Edwards will perform.

We knew there was something shady going on, but we didn't know that Jane Mayer was the woman to ask. But apparently she is, so go listen to what she has to say.
