
- Your traffic restriction updates for today: the northbound I-95 ramp to Broad Street is closed from 8AM to 4PM for structural steel repairs. There will also be lane closures this week on I-95, the Vine Street Expressway, and the Schuylkill Expressway.
- Due to the recent loss of $1.4 million in federal funding, and accreditation problems, the Berean Institute, a North Philadelphia landmark that has provided vocational and business education to African-Americans for 109 years, could go out of business as early as Friday. The state is also evicting the school from the building it has occupied since 1973. Berean supporters are calling for a rally at the school at noon Thursday.

- Comcast-Spectacor chairman Ed Snider announced this morning that the Spectrum will close at the conclusion of the upcoming 2008-09 Philadelphia Phantoms and Kixx seasons.
- A 42-year-old man was shot in the leg by police this morning after allegedly robbing a 7-Eleven in Roxborough with a fake gun.
