Yo, Philly Down the Shore
Get some yummy BBQ at the NJ State BBQ Championship. This is a pretty big deal for BBQ-lovers. There's even a website dedicated to the event.
Speaking of food, new restaurant Izakaya in the Borgata looks bangin'. The restaurant celebrated its grand opening just this past Tuesday.
76ers Summer Shore Tour is in Wildwood. Too bad Elton Brand probably won't be there.
Angelsea Blues Festival is this weekend.
Dance Xplosion National Finals Dance Competition is in Wildwood.
There's always a craft show to be found down the shore. This weekend, it's the Boardwalk Craft Show in Wildwood.
Did you know that gas prices are on the rise? Oh yeah, it's only the top story every day on CNN. If you're looking to save some dough, The Cape May County Zoo is a great, and cheap, place to go. And, the tigers are pretty cool.
Got "Guidos"? This 2003 article from the Washington Post takes a look at these Jersey Shore legends.
There's lots going on in Atlantic City this weekend:
Remember the song Cannonball? The Breeders are at the House of Blues tonight.
KC & The Sunshine Band is at Bally's in Atlantic City.
Battle Cage Xtreme V is at the Tropicana.
Sirius radio show personality Bubba the Love Sponge takes his show on the road with BubbaPalooza at Trump Taj Mahal.
Comedian Stephen Lynch is at the House of Blues on Sunday.
Van Morrison is at the Borgata on Sunday.

Yes, the Cape May County Zoo is an excellent destination for shore travelers. Having used to have lived about 30 minutes from the zoo, I used to be a regular visitor with my children and friends. Highly recommended to anyone hitting that area.
And yes, the tigers are awesome!
