These groups will be at the Fire tonight. Swanwelder hails from Mexico. Landscape Paperweight and Happy Accident are homegrown. Faux Slang contains remnants of This Radiant Boy, one of this Phillyist's favorite bands of all time.

GO DRINK AT THE INSTITUTE
This new bar just opened up at 12th and Green Streets. It replaces a bar this Phillyist personally avoided in years past due to the unsavory clientele. It is a changed place, though. Let's just say the only pop sounds you'll hear anymore will be the removal of bottle caps. A good friend of ours is bartending tonight from 7pm until close, so stop in if you're in the Spring Garden area and need a brew.
