Yo, Philly Down the Shore

watermelonNothing quite says summer like the foods we eat: ice cream, water ice, pizza, hot dogs, hamburgers, watermelon. And what better time to eat those foods than July 4th. In fact, Americans will consume roughly 150 million hot dogs this Independence Day. That's a lot of processed meat! If hot dogs aren't your thing, or you're just looking for something fun this holiday weekend, read on for a list of events down the shore:

Fireworks, fireworks, and more fireworks. You can catch a show almost anywhere: Wildwood, Stone Harbor, Avalon, Sea Isle City, and Ocean City.

There's the Freedom Festival and Craft Show in Wildwood.

An Independence Day Parade in Wildwood.

Adjust your Attitude Summer Concert in Wildwood with a Jimmy Buffett tribute band. Not sure about the passive-aggressive title of the concert, though.

Avalon Family Fun Fest & Fireworks.

4th of July Bike Parade in Ocean City.

Fireworks at the Borgata.

Melissa Ethridge, Boz Scaggs, Erick Morillo, Chelsea Handler, John Legend, and Two Funny Philly Guys are all at the Borgata.

Rush is at Trump Taj Mahal.

There's a new show at the Cape May Stage.

And if you're going to be in Cape May, click here for a full list of July 4th activities.
