Nutter? I Don't Even Know 'er!

- Michael is all for revamping the Delaware River waterfront. Of course, the new riverfront will include casinos, which probably doesn't make him too happy.
- Michael was very pleased with the revenue and publicity generated by the Olympic gymnastics trials being held in the city.
- Universal healthcare? Michael's on that bandwagon.
- Michael joined the other mayors of major cities at a conference in Miami. We expect that other mayors are now cowering in shame because, well, they're not Michael.
- With the mortgage crisis continuing, Michael has announced a plan to attack foreclosures in the city.
- Michael's been rebuffed by the state courts when it comes to Philadelphia's local gun control efforts, and the Supreme Court's Heller decision seems to be an additional slam against the city's legislation, but Michael plans to press on, and he thinks he has a legal basis for doing so. (Phillyist will be dissecting the Heller opinion over the weekend. Look out next week for our take on what, if anything, it will mean to Philadelphia.)
