Can't Miss This!

Friday may be the sexiest day of the week. It's foreplay. It's all about anticipation. What's coming next?

Hipster, not homelessPHILLYIST FRAMED
Oh who are we kidding? Did you really think we were going to tell you to be anywhere else tonight but Studio 34, partying with the Phillyist staff and some of the hottest photographers in the Phillyist Flickr photo pool? All the details you could possibly need about the event are here, but in case you want the quick skinny:
WHO: Your fabulous selves, ID-enabled if you want any booze.
WHERE: Studio 34 Yoga | Healing | Arts (4522 Baltimore Avenue, upstairs)
WHEN: TONIGHT, 7-9PM
HOW MUCH: Suggested $5 donation. Beer doesn't pay for itself, yo know.

But, lest you should think we're being selfish, how about a tip for the weekend?

THE PHILADELPHIA INDEPENDENT FILM FESTIVAL
Although the festival's name might have stood out more with a little clever alliteration (wouldn't you rather catch a Philm Phestival? No?), its contents alone are certainly worthy of attention. The full schedule is available for download here, so check it out and support some local artists. You can catch Hancock next weekend, yo. And if, for some crazy reason, you decide to hit up the film festival tonight instead of coming to Framed, be sure to check out Xaviera Hollander—70s icon, madam, author and a few other million things. She'll be signing copies of her book, The Happy Hooker, at Delicious Boutique (1040 N. American St. #901) tonight at 7PM. After that she’ll be at the Media Bureau (725 N. 4th Street) for the 9:25 screening of her documentary, Xaveria Hollander: The Happy Hooker
WHO: Anyone who isn't a screaming baby.
WHERE: Locations all around NoLibs. Play a rousing round of "Hipster or Homeless" while you wait to get into the theatre!
WHEN: All weekend, through Sunday.
HOW MUCH: $6–8 per flick. More info here.
