- Yay! Finally a new episode of GameTrailers' Star Wars Retrospective!
- Spider-Man video games have generally been a disappointment, but we've gotta say this preview for Spider-Man: Web of Shadows is pretty damn impressive. The combat looks amazing.
- Electronic Arts CEO John Riccitiello recently told a group of investors that the company's upcoming Warhammer Online: Age of Reckoning will be a strong entry in the MMORPG space, but will not rival WoW. Jeez. Way to show confidence in your product!
- Rumor has it that retail web sites are showing December 3rd as the release date for the long-awaited Starcraft II.
- Nothing says mummy like a Papa Johns pizza! Mmm mmm! You can check out the new pizza-supported trailer for The Mummy: Tomb of the Dragon Emperor right here. Looks a little cheesy (pun totally unintended), but it does have a three-headed dragon, Jet Li, and an abominable snow man, so we can't say we're not interested. (Via)
- Will.i.am talked recently about his role as John Wraith, AKA Kestrel, in X-Men Origins: Wolverine.
- The trailer for Lord of the Rings: Conquest is pretty cool. Remember this is the game that's meant to be like Star Wars: Battlefront, except set in Middle Earth.
- OK, this is disturbing: the Australian Health Research Institute has claimed that by the year 2020 a third of the world's population will suffer from various forms of cancer and other disorders due to the high volume of electromagnetic data transmission emitted by billions of mobile phones, internet, intranet and wireless communication data transmission.
- Download Squad has found some fun music-related widgets: Qbox, a search engine/media player combo that lets you find and listen to music available from social networking sites (via), and aTunes, a cross-platform, open source media player (via).
- A list of 10 free programs that help you avoid getting "Windows cannot open this file" messages, including a pack of every audio and video codec imaginable.
- John McCain's campaign has released a Facebook game called Pork Invaders (via). Meanwhile, Barack Obama's style is hitting the runway (via Jill).
- Sci Fi Wire has the info on a recent screening of footage from X-Files: I Want to Believe, as well as the accompanying Q&A with David Duchovny, Chris Carter, and Frank Spotnitz.
- Apparently John Carter of Mars isn't very far along yet, as the director says they haven't even decided whether the movie will be an animated feature, a live-action film. or a mix of both.
- We haven't had a chance to play it yet, but Game|Life's description has convinced us that GemCraft must be a fun game.
- Two items connecting sex and the Wii: first off, Playboy has released a series of clips showing a scantily clad woman playing Wii Fit on YouTube. Secondly, hackers have created the WiiBrator.
- The Underwire brings us the sad news that an actors' strike could kill the JLA movie.
- Check out a preview for the next big episode of Doctor Who.

- A sneak peek at upcoming TNT action series Leverage. We can't say it looks all that exciting, but... it could be cool. And Warren Ellis linked to this preview, so it can't be all bad. (Via)
- This article about how the modern age keeps us constantly distracted and ruins our attention spans sounds pretty interesting. But we couldn't stay focused on it long enough to read the whole thing. Which we think proves its point. (Via Jill)
- Joystiq got a close look at Guitar Hero: World Tour, and they have lots of details. Meanwhile, Nintedo Wii Fanboy reveals that the Wii version will allow you to save downloadable content directly to an SD card, and even play songs directly from the card, too. Also, the Guitar Hero III guitar will be compatible with the new game, as will any USB microphone.
