Wanted Poster Wanted: Poster

Crows2.jpgAs you might know, Counting Crows (MySpace) will be hitting the Susquehanna Bank Center in Camden on August 9, along with Maroon 5 and Sara Bareilles. (Get tickets here.) We'll be doing coverage of the show when it comes around, but we thought we'd give you a little something to whet your appetite.

Counting Crows are looking for one of you to design their summer tour poster. And by "one of you," we mean "someone, somewhere in America, and we'd like it be someone from Philadelphia, preferably a Phillyist reader." We know that this city is full of talented artists, and we encourage anyone so inclined to enter a poster submission. (We'd do it ourselves, but we can barely draw a stick figure.) Here are the entry specs:

  • The poster must be 18" x 24" (doesn't matter whether you do portrait or landscape).
  • The artwork must be at least 300 DPI and be transmitted through the Internet.
  • The file must be either .jpg or .gif, and less than 10 MB.
  • If you use any graphic elements, they can't be copywritten.
  • Try to capture the sound and feel of Counting Crows's music!

Think you're up to the task? E-mail your submissions to winner@countingcrows.com by July 1. Hopefully, we'll be buying your work when the band hits town.
