What's new and/or interesting on TV this week.
I Love the New Millennium (Mon, 9PM-10PM, VH1)
VH1 is maybe getting a little carried away with their "I Love the..." series. They didn't even let the decade end yet this time before doing their clip show about it. Still, we're sure it'll be funny. This first episode of the 8-part series, predictably enough, takes a look at the year 2000. The second episode, aired immediately after this one, looks at 2001. Succeeding episodes can be found at the same time on subsequent days.
In the Shadow of the Moon (Mon, 9PM-11PM, Discovery Channel)
This fantastic documentary about NASA's missions to the moon was screened at the 2007 Philadelphia Film Festival. You can read our review right here.
Modern Marvels (Mon, 8PM-9PM, History Channel)
It's the history of ice cream! Woo hoo! They also take a look at related products, like frozen yogurt. Included are visits to TCBY, the Joy Cone Company, and Ben & Jerry's.
Psychic Kids: Children of the Paranormal (Mon, 10PM-11PM, A&E)
A 14-year-old boy who says he can see the spirits of people and animals is introduced to some other kids close to his age who also supposedly have paranormal gifts. Sounds... interesting.
Wipeout (Tue, 8PM-9PM, ABC)
It's another obstacle course show, like Ninja Warrior! Man, we love obstacle course shows. This one features 24 contestants competing for a $50,000 prize by trying to make it past challenges with names like Big Balls, Sucker Punch, and Killer Surf.
I Survived a Japanese Game Show (Tue, 9PM-10PM, ABC)
It's a reality show about a game show! In this elimination contest, 10 Americans compete in a crazy Japanese game show, which includes challenges like dressing in a bug costume and getting launched at a giant replica of a car's windshield.
