- You can download Girl Talk's new album, Feed the Animals, for any price you choose. Although if you pick 0.00, you will have to explain yourself. (Via D-Mac)
- The next episode of Cinematic Titantic is now available! This time the MST3K alums are making fun of a lame sci-fi flick called The Doomsday Machine. You can download it right here. (It had so much traffic they actually had to take the download down for a while, but it looks like it's back up and running now.)
- Robert Downey Jr., Tinkerbell, Tim Burton, Leslie Caron, Cameron Diaz, Charles Durning, Ralph Fiennes, Hugh Jackman, Sir Ben Kingsley, and William H. Macy are all getting stars on the Hollywood Walk of Fame in 2009.
- Yesterday YouTube launched a new section of its site: The YouTube Screening Room. YouTube calls it a "platform for films from around the world to find the audiences they deserve." It'll showcase four short films every two weeks and will even offer an occasional feature.
- David Carradine will have a cameo in the new Death Race.
- In honor of the release of Get Smart today, Cinematical lists seven other TV spy shows that were turned into terrible movies.
- Some dude made a portable Atari 7800. That's awesome.
- A band called Creakyboards claims that Coldplay ripped off one of their songs for their new album. Check out the video and see what you think.
- Finally, the internet diploma you deserve! (Via)
- A recent campaign ad for John McCain features music from Medal of Honor: European Assault, which in itself is pretty crazy. But it turns out the composer is a die-hard Obama supporter and is "dismayed" that his work is being used in the ad.
- How to use the Wii Wheel and Balance Board to create a racing simulator.
- Anthony Michael Hall, star of the TV series Dead Zone, says there's talk of a movie, and he'd definitely be interested in one, but he doesn't have much hope it will actually happen.
- Nintedo Wii Fanboy picks out some of the most interesting just-released details about Guitar Hero: World Tour—including the news that the rumored touch-sensitive guitar is a reality, and that the Wii version will feature downloadable content. Woo hoo! In other Guitar Hero news, an Ozzy Osbourne-signed GH3 bundle for Wii is up for auction on eBay (via).
- The Movie Blog offers 20 Tips For Starting Your Own Movie Blog.
- Apparently Universal has already been working on sequels, plural, to the yet-to-be-released Wanted.
- Scientists are pretty sure they've found water ice on Mars. But was it Rita's? Sorry, sorry. This actually is a pretty big deal and we're pretty excited about it. Maybe we'll get to see some Martians soon! (Via)
- The estate of Mario Puzo is filing suit against Paramount Pictures, claiming the company owes Puzo's estate more than $1 million in revenue from the sale of games based on Puzo's The Godfather.
- The latest news from World of Warcraft: the upcoming patch will allow users to acquire their first mount as early as Level 30, although it sounds like the mount might have training wheels on it. The patch will also allow players to purchase a line of high-end bags and jewelry from Haris Pilton, a character in the game obviously meant to be a parody of Paris Hilton. The idea is that adding this new money sink might help curb the inflation that the game has been experiencing.
- Fans can start voting on a set of new science fiction awards, called the SyFy Awards, on June 25 at SyFyPortal.com. Check out the list of nominees at Underwire.
- Geekadelphia found pics of an Apple G4 Tower enjoying a new life as a mailbox.
- The video game based on Star Wars: The Clone Wars will be a one-on-one lightsaber fighting game that makes heavy use of Wii Remote motion controls to simulate swordfighting. Woo hoo!
