Yo, Philly Down the Shore

ac.jpg“Well now everything dies baby that's a fact, but maybe everything that dies someday comes back. Put your makeup on fix your hair up pretty, and meet me tonight in Atlantic City.”
Bruce Springsteen

There’s a lot going on in Atlantic City this weekend. At the Borgata there’s Stevie Nicks, Bob Saget, and Natasha Bedingfield.

And, Stevie Wonder is at the Trump Taj Mahal on Saturday.

This past Monday, Wildwood experienced its second major fire of the season, damaging some of the rides on Mariners Landing Pier.

Cape May Harbor Fest is on Friday and Saturday. For seafood lovers and “foodies” alike, there’s a scallop cook-off on Saturday that features some of Cape May’s top chefs.

For the artsy folk, Fully Committed is at the Cape May Stage until June 28. Shows are relatively cheap and run Wednesdays through Sundays at 8 pm.

There will be an all day celebration rededicating the renovated Washington Street Mall in Cape May on Saturday. Starting a 9:30 am, visitors will be treated to a day of music and entertainment. Plus, there’s always the great shops to visit if you get bored.

Wine-os should definitely check out the Cape May Winery. Take a self-guided walk through the vineyards, enjoy a picnic lunch (with wine of course), and participate in wine tasting for $5. You even get to keep your very own glass.

The 13th Annual Plunge for Patients is on Saturday at 6 pm in Wildwood.

There’s an Antique Auto Show in Ocean City on Saturday with more than 300 vintage vehicles.

Thanks for the "jersey shore" info...and love the pic from back in the day (bathing suit on the dude is a little weird)..but great to jog the memory bank!

Former Phillyist Jen Miller is also going to be at the Cape May Harbor Fest (Saturday at noon) signing copies of her new book. We're so proud of her we could burst!
