PAWS Dog of the Week

Tabitha.jpgIf you missed our recent post on the breed-specific legislation bill pending in the Pennsylvania legislature, which would have an adverse effect on many of the dogs we've profiled on Phillyist, check it out here!

Miss Tabitha (ID# A05217190)

Miss Tabitha is a beautiful Golden Retriever who's about 3 years old. It's tough to believe that she came to the shelter as a stray, because she seems to have been well cared for. She's healthy and has a wonderful disposition. She also appears to have had at least some training and is very well-behaved. She's a medium-energy dog who likes going on walks but isn't a wild child. She's perfectly happy to settle down and curl up by your feet. She'd make a great family pet, so you'd better get to the shelter and adopt her quick—she's going to make some human very, very happy.

If you'd like to save Miss Tabitha, e-mail natalie@phillypaws.org. The adoption fee for a PAWS dog is $40, plus an $8 city license fee if you live in Philadelphia. The fee includes spaying/neutering, which will be performed before your new companion comes home with you, and microchipping. Also, make note of Miss Tabitha's ID number above, and bring it with you when you go to the PAWS shelter, which is located at 111 West Hunting Park Ave (map).
