This Just In: Tim Russert Dead at 58

This has very little to do with Philadelphia, but we always loved kicking back to Meet the Press on Sunday mornings when it was too cold or too hot to brave leaving the apartment to go to brunch. So it's in great sadness that we pass on to you the very, very sad news that Tim Russert, beloved television host and author, died this afternoon at the NBC News Washington bureau of an apparent heart attack. He was 58.
According to MSNBC, Russert collapsed while recording voiceovers for this coming Sunday's Meet the Press. Russert's family has confirmed his passing, but no further information is available at this time.
RIP, Tim. That's one big moderator's chair that you've left to fill.
