Whiz of the Web: Wednesday Whiz-Up
The best of the internet, squirted out in flavorful neon globules, just for you.

- Yay! It's the trailer for the next episode of Cinematic Titanic!
- We're not even sure we want to open this can of beans, but... if you're interested, The Underwire has the entire backstory on a little YouTube dance-off feud that's been going on between Miley Cyrus/Hannah Montana and the people behind Step Up 2.
- All the dialogue is in Russian, and there are no subtitles, but this new trailer for Wanted is still pretty cool, as it includes lots of new, not entirely safe for work footage.
- Sad news: a stuntman was killed in a freak fire during the filming of John Woo's new film, Red Cliff.
- 7-Eleven is doing another of their movie tie-in promotional deals, this time with The Incredible Hulk. New products include green-colored Slurpee drinks, Super Hero sandwiches, a renamed Incredible Gulp fountain drink, and an Incredible Hulk comic book, created by Marvel Comics and available exclusively at 7-Eleven stores.
- Photos of promotional images and merchandise from Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince can now be found online. (Via)
- It looks like Jon Favreau isn't a sure bet to direct Iron Man 2 yet. Apparently he and the studio are having a hard time coming to an agreement over money. C'mon, Marvel! Give the man some cash and get him on board. He made you the best super hero movie ever! Meanwhile, the storyline for Iron Man 2 could be in jeopardy, as well. Everyone was pretty much planning on it being the Demon in a Bottle storyline, where Tony Stark hits rock bottom in his battle with alcoholism, but such a story could be too similar to that of the upcoming Hancock.
- There have been rumors of this before, but the news is being reported again (this time on the occasion of the original show's 40th anniversary) that we could soon see a new Prisoner miniseries, this time starring Jim Caviezel as Number Six and Sir Ian McKellen as Number Two. We desperately hope this is true.
- A site called Atomic Tarantula is selling some seriously snazzy T-shirts decorated with sometimes rather obscure sci-fi geek references. Awesome. (Via)
- Nerd World proselytizes on behalf of Alan Moore's Miracleman. Well, we're sold! Now, anybody got a copy they want to sell us?
- Game|Life found a cool Easter Egg: enter the Konami code (up, up, down, down, left, right, left, right, b, a) on the first screen of Google Reader, and a little ninja will appear in the sidebar.
- Director Louis Leterrier has confirmed that Captain America will indeed have a cameo in Incredible Hulk, but apparently you have to look carefully to spot it. He also says he cut 70 minutes (!) worth of footage from the film, and all of it will eventually show up on the Blu-ray release (and the DVD, we hope??).
- Sci Fi Wire offers a bit of a spoiler for Dark Knight, and then, after revealing it, warns of possible spoilers. Thanks, Sci Fi Wire.
- An upcoming game already being described as an MMO version of Grand Theft Auto, All Points Bulletin, will have a public, open beta well before its release.
- Nobody but the most devoted Apple geek wants to watch Steve Jobs' entire keynote speech, so here's the short, short version. It'll only take one minute of your time!
- We didn't think we were the kind of geeks who'd get outraged about anything in or not in the new Street Fighter movie, but... no Ken or Ryu? What? How can you have a Street Fighter movie without them?!
- A job posting for a voice actor reveals some tantalizing details about Portal 2.
- Nintendo Wii Fanboy has launched a new column where they'll imagine how old video games could be adapted for the Wii in new and exciting ways. First up for the treatment is cult favorite Panzer Dragoon Orta. (Via)
- Cinematical got Tim Roth to talk about the likelihood of him starring in Inglorious Bastards, or doing a Pulp Fiction spin-off.
- Netflix already sold out of their new set-top boxes. It could take six to eight weeks to take care of their backlog of orders.
- Finally, a trailer for Babylon A.D. It's actually kind of corny, until the ending. We'll see how the movie turns out... (Via)

A new Prisoner miniseries?
Please no. Do they only do these things so the original looks better than ever so they can increase DVD sales?
