Whiz of the Web: Tuesday Torpedoes
The shapeless dough of the internet, formed into tasty pellets and baked to perfection, just for you.

- A very silly trailer.
- Mel Brooks will produce and co-write a horror film called Pizzaman. Is he a man made of pizza who eats himself to death?
- New pics from Lost Boys 2:The Tribe.
- Watch this new trailer for The Incredible Hulk quickly, because it could be pulled down any second. We'd heard the movie was influenced very much by the '70s TV show, and this trailer shows that the most clearly of anything else yet released, even going so far as to use the show's opening musical theme. In other Hulk news, Lou Ferrigno won't just have a cameo in the movie, he'll actually provide the voice of the title character.
- Stephen Colbert gave a speech at Princeton University graduation and also received The Great Princeton Class of 2008 Understandable Vanity Award.
- 365 Days of Blasphemous Horrors! Woo hoo! (Via)
- Some details from Zoe Saldana about her role as Lt. Uhura in Star Trek.
- Danny Glover, Thandie Newton and Oliver Platt are in discussions to join Roland Emmerich’s epic disaster project 2012. This is the one about John Cusack contacting his double from another universe to help him prevent an apocalypse predicted by the Mayans.
- We can't be sure the movie's for real, but the trailer for Dolemite Explosion is pretty freaking brilliant, so we hope it is.
- Due to scheduling conflicts, Bryce Dallas Howard will be replacing Claire Danes as Kate Brewster in T4.
- Indispensible accessories for any office: ninja star tacks.
- An air conditioned dog house. Huh.
- Apparently with some simple hacking (really, just plugging in web addresses to a browser), it's easy to view people's private MySpace pics. You can look at Paris Hilton's and Lindsay Lohan's MySpace pics right here. (Via)
- Work on the screenplay for Billy Batson and the Legend of Shazam has begun again, and the filmmakers say they're going to remain true to Captain Marvel's original origin story.
- Alfred Molina will play Sheik Amar (a mentor to the prince) in the film adaptation of Prince of Persia. Also in the cast are Jake Gyllenhaal, Gemma Arterton, and Ben Kingsley.
- The first TV ad for Street Fighter IV is online. Plus, it was just officially announced that Fei Long will be back in the console version of the game. Woo hoo!
- The Sci Fi Channel is preparing to launch a franchise that consists of a television show and a concurrently running massively multiplayer online title. The latter will help shape the plot of the former.
- "Researchers at Japan's Keio University have created an experimental headset designed to monitor brain waves that allowed a man who had been paralyzed for more than 30 years to control a Second Life avatar using only his thoughts."
- The folks at Joystiq got their hands on Guitar Hero: Aerosmith, and they aren't too impressed. Apparently it's just Guitar Hero 3 with more Aerosmith. So we can't say we're all that excited to learn that Guitar Hero: Metallica will be out by Q1 of 2009.
- FlixPulse is sort of like Rotten Tomatoes, but it uses human analysis of Twitter posts as its source for movie ratings. (Via)
- Apparently the characters of Moaning Myrtle and Sybill Trelawney are both being left out of the movie version of Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince. We don't remember the book well enough to know whether this is going to have a large effect on the plot, but Cinematical seems to think it will. Hmm...
- The Top 25 Animated Movies, according to Moviefone. (Via)
- Tim Burton has reportedly been confirmed as the director of Dark Shadows.
- George Lucas' daughter, Amanda "Powerhouse" Lucas, besides starring in all three of her Dad's Star Wars prequels, and working as a hip-hop teacher, spent years training in multiple martial arts, and is a member of an American all-female MMA fight team. She lost her debut bout at a recent New Zealand event titled Princesses of Pain, but won a medal for being the "gutsiest fighter."

Mel Brooks will produce and co-write a horror film called Pizzaman. Is he a man made of pizza who eats himself to death?
He did that already. It was in Spaceballs and the character was Pizza the Hut.
Wake me when Holywood gets an original idea.
And do we really need to see Paris Hilton's and Lindsay Lohan's MySpace pics?
Uh... yeah, I know. That was kind of the joke I was making there.
