Nutter? I Don't Even Know 'er!
- We haven't reported on Michael naming new officials in a while, so let's start with that. This week, Michael tapped attorney Rue Landau to be the next head of the Philadelphia Commission on Human Relations.
- Michael announced an $8 million spending plan to help Philadelphia's homeless population.
- Michael defended the city's decision to raise the rent on the Boy Scouts' headquarters due to the organization's policy against homosexuals.
- Michael is pushing for stricter gun laws in Pennsylvania. Maybe he's realized that his attempt to regulate guns on a local level is likely unconstitutional and is now looking for the state to step up and pass tougher laws.
- Michael continues to investigate some of the
bullshitspending and accounting... well, we'll call them "irregularities," that went on during John Street's administration. This time, he's looking at Street's Neighborhood Transformation Initiative.
