A Good Cause For Kitten Paws

citykitties.gifWe've all gotten cheap laughs out of cute, adorable kittens on the Internet, whether dressed in costume or pleading for nourishment, so it's about time we give back to the feline community. Leading the charge is City Kitties Rescue, a small group of pro-active volunteers who rescue stray cats and kittens in Philadelphia, foster them back to good health, and adopt them out to new homes. Tonight head over to Studio 34 in West Philadelphia for a silent auction and fund raiser in support of both City Kitties and Project SAFE, an organization helping to promote human rights-based public health for women working in prostitution in Philadelphia. Drawings, prints, photography, paintings, sculpture, and metalwork will be available at varying starting bids. Showcasing over 25 established and emerging artists, the auction will feature the works of Kyle Cassidy , Tim McFarlane, and Sibylla Benatova, among others. In addition to the silent auction, there will be live music, raffle drawings, a photo booth, a button-making station, an interactive work of art collaboration, and the usual hors d'oeuvres, beer and wine. For more information on the event and artists on display, click here.
