- "Lingerie maker Triumph International Japan Ltd unveiled its environmentally friendly, and green colored, "Solar Power Bra" on Wednesday in Tokyo." No comment. (Via Jill)
- Tom Cruise will star as the President of the United States in the upcoming political thriller 28th Amendment. In the film, Cruise's character discovers that the United States is actually being controlled by a super secret organization (run by Denzel Washington) that terminates those that get in its way.
- Werner Herzog co-wrote and will direct, and David Lynch will produce, My Son, My Son, a horror-tinged murder drama loosely based on the true story of a San Diego man who acts out a Sophocles play in his mind and kills his mother with a sword. As The Movie Blog points out, "Werner Herzog was born to tell the story of a madman that kills his own mother with a sword." Also, Werner Herzog + David Lynch = film nerd joy.
- Tyrese Gibson might just have landed the role of B.A. Baracus in The A-Team.
- Yahoo! discusses Maxim's list of the 100 hottest women in the world. (Via)
- Harrison Ford has been elected to the the Archaeological Institute of America’s board of directors in honor of his contribution to their craft. They say Ford's Indiana Jones character has played a major part in stimulating interest in archaeological exploration.

- Despite the incredible sales of GTA IV in April, the Wii was still the highest selling console last month, with sales of PS3 and Xbox 360 actually down versus March. But it's not all good news for Nintendo: a federal jury just found the company guilty of patent infringement and ordered it to pay $21 million in damages.

- The world's smallest humanoid robot seems like a pretty cool little guy.
- Sounds like they're really trying to up the ante in Final Destination 4: not only will it be in 3D, there will also be two major disasters: one at a racetrack at the start of the movie, and then later an explosion at a movie theater.
- Fox is starting a new "Remote-Free TV" campaign starting with the 2008-'09 season. All it means is that shows will air with fewer commercials and fewer promotional spots for other Fox shows. The Fox entertainment chairman said, "We need to give viewers a new reason to come to broadcast TV." Yes. Yes, you do.
- CBS is buying CNET for $1.8 billion! That means CBS will own GameSpot, as well.
- We have lots of pics and videos of upcoming video games for you. First off, Konami is entering the realm of music & rhythm games with Rock Revolution. Yep, that looks pretty familiar! Joystiq also already managed to get a photo of the game's drum kit. And speaking of Konami games, check out some screenshots of Castlevania: Order of Ecclesia, coming soon for the DS. The there are these pics and video of the upcoming Hellboy video game, and more information about, and screenshots from, Strong Bad's Cool Game for Attractive People.
- Sony is integrating the YouTube API so that developers will be able to add video-uploading functionality to their titles. That means you would be able to upload in-game video to YouTube from within the game. In other YouTube-related news, the video sharing site appears to be linking copyrighted videos uploaded by third parties to their respective content owners; for instance, on a Modest Mouse music video, YouTube added the note "Contains Content From: Sony/BMG" at the bottom, with a link to the official site. This may be YouTube's way of trying to convince content owners to not remove videos uploaded by fans.

- Check out the trailer for The Mummy: Tomb of the Dragon Emperor. We're not a big fan of this series of movies, but we have to admit this one looks pretty cool, if only because Jet Li is in it. And, hey, was that a dragon?? (Via)
- There's a horror comedy on the way called Lesbian Vampire Killers. Apparently it's the vampires themselves that are the lesbians, and not the vampire killers. But the point is, "lesbian" and "vampire" are both in the title.
