Nutter? I Don't Even Know 'er!

- Michael's been in office for a little over four months now, which apparently means it's time to start fund-raising for his reelection campaign.
- Michael appointed former Daily News columnist Mark Alan Hughes as the city's "sustainability director," charged with overseeing environmental initiatives.
- Michael's proposed budget easily cruised through a City Council committee, clearing the way for approval by the whole Council, which should come next week.
- Some people are accusing Michael of inappropriately excusing the police officers involved in last week's beating incident. There's also a fear that his stop-and-frisk program will lead to even more such incidents.
- On the heels of the bicyclist's win in this week's commuter race, Michael led Philadelphia's participation in National Bike to Work day.
- And in what we can safely call the least surprising news of the week, a recent poll indicates that Michael is pretty well-liked.
