Whiz of the Web: Thirsty Thursday
A tall, icy glass of our favorite internet junk, just for you.

- Beware, you Mr. Pinks out there who have been stiffing the wait staff! There is in fact an online database of lousy tippers at LousyTippers.com. (Via Sarah)
- Friends, you might want to swing by your local Dunkin Donuts and/or McDonalds today; apparently, they're both giving away free samples. (Via Sarah)
- This Phillyist doesn't care for reality TV, but we have to admit MTV's upcoming show Exiled is just a brilliant concept. They got the parents of some of the most spoiled brats on My Super Sweet 16 to agree to ship said brats to third world countries for a while so they can see how tough life can really get. You have to watch the trailer. One of our favorite lines: "Mountains? I thought Peru was an island!" (Via Sarah)
- New federal figures reveal that nearly three in 10 households either only have a cell phone or seldom if ever take calls on their landline. (Via Jill)
- Beavis & Butthead could return soon - in a live-action movie. Uh... wow. That sounds like a terrible idea. And, holy crap, a 21 Jump Street movie? What are they doing over there in Hollywood?!
- Scott Adams plugged somebody else's web comic today, so we took a look, and we have to agree: it's very neat! It's Slow Wave, and it consists of web comic representations of actual dreams submitted to the cartoonist by readers.
- Supposedly a young Beast will appear in the Magneto prequel movie. That makes as little sense to us as a young Cyclops showing up in Wolverine, but we guess they can make it work somehow.
- Ooh, new Hulk trailer! Go Hulk!
- Aww, scientists have discovered a little baby supernova. How cute. (Via Jill)
- Leonardo DiCaprio may star as Ian Fleming in a new film about the James Bond novelist.
- We don't remember seeing a plot summary of John Waters' upcoming film Fruitcake before, so here you go: "the story of a cheerfully weird ten-year-old boy who gets separated from his loving small-time crook parents on Christmas Eve."
- We also have the plot synopsis for Saw V: "Hoffman (Costas Mandylor) is seemingly the last person alive to carry on the Jigsaw (Tobin Bell) legacy. But when his secret is threatened, Hoffman must go on the hunt to eliminate all loose ends."
- Could Age of Conan actually challenge World of Warcraft for dominance of the MMO universe? Well, no, probably not. But the game's Early Access program already sold out. Also, if you're interested, the director says it takes about 250 hours of play to reach the game's maximum level.
- A recent Worth 1000 contest asked entrants to move cartoon characters into the real world. You can check out the disturbing results here. (Via)
- Cinematical is at Cannes, and snapping pics of all the cool posters.
- Columbia Pictures just bought the rights to bring R.L. Stine's young-adult Goosebumps series to the big screen.
- Peter Jackson and Guillermo del Toro are inviting fans to a live Internet chat about the upcoming film The Hobbit. It'll start Saturday, May 24th, at 4PM Eastern time, and they're calling it, appropriately enough, "An Unexpected Party." Click through to register. (Via)
- Joystiq has news on an upcoming Street Fighter tribute art book. Also, you can vote on which characters should be turned into action figures over at Capcom's blog.
- A collection of impressions of upcoming video games, as seen at the Xbox 360 Spring Showcase.
- A Flickr photoset comparing Liberty City to the real New York City. (Via)

That picture makes me happy.
The last link makes me want to go out and buy an X-box 360 and GTA-IV right now.
