- The latest update in the Marvin Harrison-related shooting case is that... there isn't any update. Although actually, this article does offer more details about the incident. It's sounding less and less likely to us that Harrison wasn't involved in the shooting, as he claims.
- Mourners met at Unionville High yesterday to remember 19-year-old Kristen Marie Dickmann, a graduate of the school who was attending the Naval Academy in Annapolis, Md. when she was found unconscious in her room on May 5th. She was rushed to the hospital, but was pronounced dead on arrival. An autopsy failed to reveal the cause of death, but further tests are being conducted which could take weeks to complete.
- A new initiative proposed by City Councilman Jack Kelly, which he will explain in detail at a press conference at 1PM today, hopes to equip autistic children, victims of Alzheimer's Disease and others at risk of wandering off with plastic wristbands which emit a radio signal that can be tracked by specially trained police teams.
- "The level of violence and disorderly conduct within the School District of Philadelphia is much too high and will require the district's new chief executive officer to immediately implement a battery of remedies, state Secretary of Education Gerald L. Zahorchak wrote in a school-safety report released yesterday."
