Can't Miss This!

You know what we're thinking about today? We're only 21 days away from The Kingdom of the Crystal Skull...Beware the link, the signature music plays right away, and loudly, too.

corsaaage.jpgNEW PARADISE LABORATORIES PRESENTS: PROM!
That's right. PROM. Sort of like prom, but capitalized. New Paradise Laboratories, with the help of some Drexel students, is bringing their unique and experiential theater experience to Philadelphia at the Mandell Theater on Drexel's campus. New Paradise themselves described the show as "a bittersweet, wickedly funny, and thoughtful barrage of questions and outrageous imagery set to a fantastic wall of music." We're considering making that our own self-description from now on. It sounds like a damn good time. The show runs through May 11.
WHO: Anyone!
WHERE: Drexel University's Mandell Theater, 33rd and Chestnut Streets (map)
WHEN: 8pm
HOW MUCH: $20 for the general public, $10 for college students, $7 with Drexel ID. Get 'em here or call 215-923-0334.

NETWORKING HAPPY HOUR AT MISSION GRILL
We're a little doubtful about the amount of legitimate business networking that actually goes on at these shindigs, but that may be why we don't own some cool business of our own and call ourselves entrepreneurs or venture capitalists. This little gathering will be a pretty good deal, with the hosts picking up your first drink, providing some free eats and setting up some sweet-ass drink deals that will get you that much closer to justifying a Thursday evening binge. Just remember, what is good for the wallet isn't always good for the liver, and if you drive drunk, Phillyist will seriously reconsider our friendship.
WHO: 21+, and you gotta own something.
WHERE: Mission Grill, 18th and Arch Streets (map)
WHEN: From 6pm to 9pm
HOW MUCH: $10 if you pre-register, $15 at the door. Expect a gift certificate to the Body Klinic, light appetizers, and some drink specials. Register here. SocialPhilly is handling the admin side of things.

PUBLIC HOUSE SUMMER KICK-OFF PARTY
Don't own some cool company, or anything else, but still want to drink and network like a mofo? Well then go to the Public House at Logan Square . There is no cover tonight, number one. Number two, if you sign Jenn's guestbook, you'll get $5 vodka and Red Bulls and/or $3 Corona all night. We don't know who Jenn is, but we sure do like her! Oh, and they claim there will be "special guest appearances you won't want to miss." Mayor Nutter? Maybe a Barack Attack? Who knows.
WHO: 21+
WHERE: Public House at Logan Square, 18th and Arch Streets (map)
WHEN: From 8pm to 11pm
HOW MUCH: No cover. Cheap-ass drinks, mostly thanks to Jenn. Big-giant-holy-shnikeys-those-are-large...
...televisions.

What did you think we were gonna say?
