Can't Miss This!

We are already having a bad Friday. Why? The Flyers didn't win last night, as they probably should have. And today just feels like a long day. We're not feeling positive about it right now.

the lama smiles todayWHAT'S NEW AT THE PHILADELPHIA ZOO
We're stretching this right now, but how can you say no to a smile like that?! The zoo is open from 9:30am to 5pm every day. That excludes the possibility of a visit today for most people. But we think you need to know about the new offerings from the Philadelphia Zoo so you can visit tomorrow. There's a baby Titi monkey, a baby Golden Lion Tamarin, a baby Sifaka and a baby giant river otter. That's a lot of babies. And that's just the beginning. The zoo is a great all-day outing, and, considering the overhead it takes to care for so many different kinds of animals 24/7, the asking price is more than generous. Just don't taunt any primates unless you want a poo facial. They're not stupid: they know you're laughing at them, and they have a killer curveball.

THE ARDEN THEATER PRESENTS: LOOK MOM, I'M SWELL!

THE N CROWD CELEBRATES 3 YEARS OF BEING EXASPERATINGLY FUNNY
We know we sent you into their lair last week, but tonight is special. They're celebrating their 3rd anniversary and you get twice the show for just 50% more! Yeah, we're not good with numbers, either. But at $15, this two-hour improv event is our pick for the night. Audience interaction always plays a big part in the N Crowd's shows, so be prepared to speak up!
WHO: Anyone!
WHERE: The Actors' Center, 257 N. 3rd Street (map)
WHEN: From 8pm to 10pm.
HOW MUCH: $15. Get 'em here. Note: If you buy them online, RSVP-style, they will only be held until 7:50pm, then they're fair game for buy-em-at-the-door types.
