Greek Mythology Giveaway

Eurydice_logoweb.jpgRemember Orpheus?

Sure you do. You learned about him in middle school. He was married, ever so briefly, to Eurydice who, on her wedding day, stepped on a snake and died. The heartbroken Orpheus sang and played his lute so mournfully that the gods told him to go to the underworld to get his wife back. Hades agreed to let Eurydice return to the land of the living on the condition that her husband walk ahead of her and never look back. En route, Orpheus became so nervous that he looked behind him to be sure she was there, only to watch her vanish, this time forever.

Ringing a bell?

Well, whether you remember the story or not, The Wilma is here to offer you a refresher course on it, albeit with a bit of a twist, when they present Pulitzer Prize nominee Sarah Ruhl's Eurydice from April 30–June 1. And starving students of the classics, rejoice! The Wilma is offering one lucky winner a pair of tickets to either the Sunday, May 11 or Friday, May 16 performance of the show. Just fill out the contest form below by Friday, May 4, for your chance to win.
