- The big news today is obviously yesterday's primary. First off, Hillary won, but six of the 26 Pennsylvania superdelegates remain undecided. Also, Obama kept it close enough that it was still kind of win for him, and after all, he's still in the lead overall. Assuming Obama does become the nominee, what will that mean for Rendell and Nutter, who have supported Clinton all along? The Daily News says they'll come out of it just fine. The Daily News also collected some interesting quotes from the primary campaign, and took a hard look at some comments that Bill Clinton made to a WHYY reporter that are causing national controversy. Finally, a look at the local races, where the big news is that Center City lawyer Lawrence M. Farnese Jr. pulled off a surprise victory against John J. Dougherty (woo hoo!).
- Philadelphia traffic judge Willie F. Singletary, 28—who a year ago had his driver's license suspended through 2011 for owing $11,427 for 55 traffic violations—is now in trouble again. The state Judicial Conduct Board issued a complaint against him yesterday, charging him with five counts of misconduct for soliciting campaign donations from the Philadelphia First State Road Rattlers Motorcycle Club.
- Northbound Kelly Drive between Hunting Park and South Ferry Road will be closed today from 9:30AM to 2:30PM for tree removal.
- In the largest arts bailout in the city's history, several large philanthropies have donated to help eliminate the $30 million debt left over from the construction phase of the Kimmel Center for the Performing Arts, and dozens of individual donors have pitched in to boost the center's endowment to $72 million. Which means the $275 million Kimmel Center is finally paid for.
