Whiz of the Web: Thirsty Thursday
A tall, icy glass of our favorite internet junk, just for you.

- Warren Ellis reveals which comic hooked him on the medium. (Via)
- The best invention ever? You decide. (Via Sarah)
- Uwe Boll on the internet petition we mentioned yesterday. Turns out he can make an entertaining movie!
- The top 25 child stars of all time, according to Moviefone.
- The NHL is recruiting famous fans to write blogs about hockey. Included are Jason Reitman and Kevin Smith.
- Midnight Meat Train is apparently now bypassing the big screen and going straight to DVD. How did this happen?! Suck.
- As commenter phillybits mentioned yesterday, the backlash against Flickr over the whole adding video thing has already begun. It seems like whenever Flickr changes anything about a hundred people come out of the woodwork complaining bitterly about it. Speaking of which, here's a project that's looking to combine Flickr with Google Earth to spatially locate 2D pictures within a 3D environment.
- We want fuzzy 20-sided dice for the Phillyistmobile.
- "The upcoming video game based on The Incredible Hulk will feature the voices and likenesses of the film's major cast members, including Edward Norton, Liv Tyler, Tim Roth, Tim Blake Nelson and William Hurt."
- Vin Diesel's long-awaited sci-fi epic Babylon AD may be cut from the two hours and 40 minutes length that it will have in Europe to only 90 minutes for the US release. Boo!
- Harmonix claims they'd love to provide downloadable content for the Wii version of Rock Band, but the lack of storage space on the console makes it impossible.
- The BBC recently announced that its BBC iPlayer, which allows viewers to watch replays of BBC TV shows for a limited time after they originally air, will be available on the Wii. Woo hoo!
- Quake 3 Arena on the iPod Touch!
- Cinematical highlights two very sad movie lists: the 10 most depressing movie endings ever, and the top 15 bleakest film endings. (Via)
- Supposedly Jake Gyllenhaal has been offered the lead role in Prince of Persia: Sands of Time.
- Rob Corddry is going to play press secretary Ari Fleischer in Oliver Stone's W. Pretty brilliant casting if you ask us.
- Scott Adkins is going to play Weapon 11 (or Weapon XI) in the Wolverine movie, so apparently they're going to do that whole storyline. Also, Marc Guggenheim is going to do some writing on the film.
- Okay, now they're just trying to be creepy. (Via)
- Joystiq has video footage of all 32 tracks in Mario Kart Wii.
