Blogged Around Philly
We bring you the buzz from the 215 blogosphere this week.
The Illadelph called for a bar to up the awesomeness level at Franklin Square. Beer and mini golf? We're so there. And actually, it just might happen, though not until next summer.
Foobooz posted a recession specials guide highlighting the best cheap eats around town. From happy hours with free or discounted food to specials broken out by day of the week and price point, this is one of the handier things we've come across recently. Bookmark it and refer to it often, because the economy shows little sign of improving any time soon.
Shut the Duck Up! engaged in a little shameless self promotion by posting a video of their recent protest that aired on CBS. Good work, guys.
Philly Future noted the wacky hijinks that ensued at a school during Wacky Week, when kids were encouraged to cross dress. This didn't actually happen in Philly so we're a little confused as to why it was posted there. But for the record, we'd love to see Philly students instructed to engage in a little genderfuck on the playground. Wigs and stilettos are much more fun than those hideous school uniforms. Also, it might prevent some of those SEPTA attacks. It's harder to beat someone when you're trying to keep your tiara on.
Phillybits touched on the ongoing saga of cab drivers refusing to take credit cards, with a link to a good article and video.
And finally, though it missed our "this week" criteria by one day, we have to point out that Pesky Apostrophe is offering bedazzled uterus shirts. And really, who doesn't want one of those? Also, they might just have the best tagline in the blogosphere. Click over and check it out.
