Can't Miss This!
Pick a friggin' season. We know we talk about the weather a lot on Can't Miss This!, but we're all about getting out of the office, apartment or house and doing stuff. Hence, weather is a big deal to us. Hence, we get furious when it starts flip-flopping on us like John Kerry. Pick a stance on the important issues, Weather! Issues like temperature and wind speed, rainfall and cloud cover. These are the issues near and dear to your constituents, issues we cannot merely forgive and forget on. No, we implore you to bring the warmth and sun you promised at the beginning of this Spring campaign. We're counting on you!
SINGLES WINE TASTING
Wine is a many-splendored thing. Healthy, classy, and inebriating, it has lubricated the annals (don't forget the second n...) of fancy-shmanciness for centuries. And tonight, although even merely dabbling in fancy-shmanciness can set you back a few beans, you can indulge in a survey of fine wines from the world over. Selected by Wine School of Philadelphia founder Keith Wallace, these fine wines will surely cover all the bases on that baseball diamond of taste that you call your tongue. A senior instructor from the school will be there to tell you what the hell you're drinking and whose idea it was to start making it. Meet Market Adventures lends their name to the event as well, signaling not that vegetarians should steer clear, but that lonely-tarians should consider themselves especially qualified to attend. The Fairmount area around Jack's Firehouse is great for a stroll, as long as it's not too nipply out by this evening. Nippy out. Did we say nipply? Oops.

Do you ever find yourself hanging by a moment here with us? If so, consider catching Lifehouse tonight at the Electric Factory. Beside the fact that the band photo at their web site has the members looking like, from left to right, Bon Jovi, John Stamos and Michael Stipe, it will probably be a pretty decent show. Matt Nathanson and HoneyHoney are supporting.

YOUNG PROFESSIONALS NETWORKING AT THE MANAYUNK BREWING COMPANY
If you're a Real Estate Agent, Broker, Investor, Architect, Banker/Lender, Building Manager, Insurance Provider, Builder, General Contractor, Subcontractor, or Real Estate Software Provider, consider a career change. Oh, wait, that's not what we meant. What we meant was that you can get together tonight at the Brewing Company for a few hours and discuss your career. Which is probably not quite as secure as it once was, but do not despair! After all, you get your first drink free, not to mention a free $20 gift card to American Male for the men and a $20 gift card to The Body Klinic for the ladies.
WHO: 21+
WHERE: Manayunk Brewing Company, 4120 Main Street (map)
WHEN: From 6pm to 9pm
HOW MUCH: $10 if you register in advance using the form at the bottom of the sloppy website some uber-n00b created on a whim. $15 at the door. Might be worth $5 to skip the site if bad code bothers you. We're looking at you, Geekadelphia.
