Neptune, the second album from British rock group The Duke Spirit (MySpace), is one of those rare records that we fell in love with instantly. We popped it in with no preconceptions, having never heard of The Duke Spirit before, and we walked away devoted fans of the album and the band. With bouncing, rocking songs like "The Step and the Walk" and "Neptune's Call," and slower, more soulful songs like "Wooden Heart," all accompanied by the throaty, sexy vocals of Liela Moss, how could we not?
