Frugal Fun Alert: Weekend

FRIDAY
Bring Your Own Tank: SCUBA National Touring Dance Alliance at the Conwell Dance Theater on Temple’s campus (Broad and Montgomery), 8PM. $10 (also on Saturday)

Last Friday: Celebrate March’s last Friday with poet Matthew Dickman, singer/songwriter Irene Molloy, and extended gallery hours at the Philadelphia Art Alliance (251 S 18th), 7PM. $5

SATURDAY
Free Classical: The Six, performing Bach and Monteverdi and conducted by Matt Glandorf at the Church of the Crucifixion (620 S 8th), 5PM. Free

We Like Unity: The Light of Unity Festival, sponsored by the Free Library and featuring local poets, musicians, and writers at the Book Corner (311 N 20th), Noon. Free

Koresh: Monthly showcase of Koresh dancers and choreographers at Koresh Dance (2020 Chestnut), 6 & 8PM. $10 (Also on Sunday at 6 & 8PM)

SUNDAY
Like Philly Soul, But Jazz: Philadelphia Jazz Orchestra at Chris’ Jazz Café (1421 Sansom), 3PM. $8

Record Fair: Philadelphia Record Fair, where you can get that album you’ve been hunting for and support Vox Populi at the same time, at the Rotunda (4014 Walnut), 12-6PM. Free (early admission at 10AM, $10)

Annual Poetry Ink: Listen to 100 local poets share three minutes worth of their best work and get free coffee (BYO dessert) at Robin’s Bookstore (108 S 13th), 1-6PM. Free
