Can't Miss This!
Don't you wish you were headed there, to the paradise pictured below? Well, you're not. Unless you are. Anyway, it's Friday, so you can close your eyes and picture the paradise of two full days away from work and everything it stands for. In the meantime, there are a few interesting goings-on, uh, going on tonight. So Happy Friday!
LAST FRIDAY AT THE PHILADELPHIA ART ALLIANCE
You heard all about First Friday, but what about the last Friday of the month? The Philadelphia Art Alliance (who figure prominently as a venue for the performances in our Weekly Classical Music Agenda) has you covered. Tonight they're presenting Matthew Dickman and his poetry, followed closely by Doylestown native and actress Irene Molloy (whose dot com is embarrassingly outdated but at least links to her MySpace page). She'll be doing an acoustic set for all you lovers of Last Friday.

So he plays the piano. Very well. He is also something of a comedian. And he has been on the cover of Philly Weekly. He works at Cascamorto in Center City. It's a piano bar, obviously. And a popular one. But while these things are all true, what really makes this an event to cherish is that, and we quote, they are offering "free cab rides to Cascamorto from anywhere in the city"—every Friday! Keep in mind that this means the city limits as outlined on the back seat of every cab you get into. But it is still a major serious and most excellent deal. Who knows how it works, though? Let us know. Our guess is that you pay up front, get a receipt, and cash it in for drinks.

PHILLIES VS TORONTO BLUE JAYS
It's warm out and the clouds show signs of parting. Go to a Phillies game and celebrate the imminent onset of the warmer seasons. Who cares if they win? Overpriced beer, fatty food and thousands of rude people are what Philadelphia sports are all about.
