Feeling Frenzied? Head to the World Cafe!

The first time we heard the name A Fine Frenzy, the stage name of Alison Sudol, we quite honestly saw covering her as a way to see the Rufus Wainwright/Neko Case show at the Mann over the summer. What we didn't expect was for her to be, positively, the best act of the night. Alison and her gorgeous piano-driven pop have gotten quite popular since August: her song "You Picked Me," the complicated 5/8-time love song on her debut album, One Cell in the Sea, has been an iTunes featured download, and she's all over VH1 these days, joining the growing cadre of talented female singer-songwriters that has sprung up in the last nine months or so.

A Fine Frenzy's music is just the kind of thing to listen to on a Monday, and luckily for you, that's exactly what you'll get to do—live—if you head out to The World Cafe Live tonight. It'll be a chill evening full of awesome instrumentalism, touching lyrics, and not a little eye candy to accompany the talent onstage. (Go on—watch the video and tell us she's not gorgeous.) Tickets are still available at the venue (it's too late to buy them online), and should be worth every penny.

A Fine Frenzy with Ferras and Chris Stills
TONIGHT, Monday, March 24, Doors @ 6PM; Show @ 7:30
World Cafe Live (3025 Walnut Street)
Tickets: $19* at the door
*Note that if you're seated, there will be a $20 food and beverage minimum per person.
