- The A-Team movie has a release date! Gas up the van and get a plan together for getting to the theater on June 12, 2009.
- The picture's a little dark, so it's hard to see too many details, but this first look at Snake Eyes from the G.I. Joe movie is still pretty exciting.
- Record industry execs report that they're in preliminary conversations with Apple about setting up a system wherein consumers would have the option to pay a higher price for iPods and iPhones and get unlimited access to a music library.
- There's a very cool thread on Warren Ellis' message board Whitechapel that's loaded with amazing images of old pulp magazine and book covers, as well as more modern covers inspired by them. (Via)
- Kenneth Johnson, the creator of the original '80s miniseries V (you know, the one about the creepy reptilian aliens), is hoping to develop a new movie based on his sequel novel V: The Second Generation.
- David Eick (of Bionic Woman and Battlestar Gallactica fame) is working on a pilot script for a TV series based on Children of Men.
- Chris Evans, who played Human Torch in the Fantastic Four movies, says he's pretty sure there won't be another entry in the franchise. And no one is sorry.
- Ubisoft recently completed a deal that gives it perpetual access to the IP rights to the "Tom Clancy" name "for use in video games and ancillary products including related books, movies and merchandising products." Wow. We didn't even know you could do that.
- Ah ha ha ha! The Florida Supreme Court has ruled that if Jack Thompson wants to file anything with the Court in the future, he has to hire a lawyer to do it for him. "Additionally, the order cites 46 prior filings by Thompson which the Court says are 'repetitive, frivolous, and insult the integrity of the Court.' The Court's ruling effectively prevents Thompson from pursuing legal matters... on his own behalf."
- Shia LaBeouf has pleaded not guilty to an unlawful smoking charge. The warrant doesn't contain any details, but TMZ claims LaBeouf was busted for puffing illegally on the sidewalk outside a gift store called Skyblupink. A hearing is set for April 24. If convicted, LaBeouf faces a maximum penalty of a $1,000 fine and six months in jail.
- This dude has figured out how to burn 600 calories a day while blogging. Of course, we're pretty sure we're burning calories just sitting here at our desk. It may not be quite as many, but still... (Via Geekadelphia, to whom we say, thanks, we think you're cute, too!)

- Yes, it's yet another music video for the song that plays over the closing credits of Portal—but this one's a stop-motion animated film using LEGO! (Via)
- Wow. A fan has spent three years developing a full-color remake of the Gameboy game Metroid II: Return of Samus. You can check out the impressive trailer and a gameplay demo video right here.
- New York Assemblyman Richard Brodsky doesn't like targeted advertising on the internet and has drafted a bill that would make it illegal to use your personal information without asking you first. Which, we have to admit, sounds pretty reasonable.
- It's been announced that the stars of the Iron Man movie—Robert Downey Jr., Terrence Howard and Shaun Toub—will also be voicing their characters in the video game.
- Sylvester Stallone will be shooting Rambo 5 soon on some brand new stages in Bulgaria.
- Moviefone has put together a Spring Break Swimsuit Spectacular, featuring the hottest film pics of women and men in swimsuits. Go on, you know you wanna. (Via)
