What's new and/or interesting on TV this week.

Not quite HollywoodTerminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles (Mon, 8PM-10PM, Fox)
Terminator is finishing up its first season already (boo!) with a special two-hour episode, featuring John and Derek disagreeing over whether they can trust Cameron; Cromartie still tracking John; and Ellison finding out he has an enemy inside the FBI.

Thou Shalt Not: Sex, Sin and Censorship in Pre-Code Hollywood (Mon, 9:30PM-10:45PM, TCM)
This brand new documentary explores the racy world of Hollywood movies in the days before the stifling production code was put into place. Should be quite interesting.

New Amsterdam (Tue, 9PM-10PM, Fox)
This is the pilot episode of a new drama following the adventures of NYPD detective John Amsterdam, who's been immortal ever since he saved an Indian girl in 17th-century New Amsterdam. The immortality comes with a price, though: he can't love. Hmm... that reminds us of a certain vampire who went by the name of Angel... Anyway, this looks like a fascinating new show. In the first episode, John is led back to his past by the case of a murdered socialite.

Chop Socky Chooks (Fri, 9PM-9:30PM, Cartoon Network)
This is the first episode of a new show about a crack team of kung-fu chickens who use martial arts, computer skills, and sharp wits to fight their nemesis, an evil mutated piranha named Dr. Wasabi. Sounds brilliant!

Download: The True Story of the Internet (Sat, 11PM-12AM, Discovery Channel)
Seeing as how we spend about 90% of our lives on the internet, we couldn't fail to mention this new miniseries from Discovery that features website founders telling behind-the-scenes stories. This first episode talks about the "populist aspects of online communication," which we're pretty sure is a big, fancy way of saying "Web 2.0." Included are discussions of YouTube, Digg, and Facebook, and their huge financial and cultural success.

Journey to 10,000 B.C. (Sun, 8PM-10PM, History Channel)
As it often does, History Channel is once again trying to capitalize on an upcoming Hollywood release by whipping up a related special. In this case, the film is 10,000 B.C., and the special is about what prehistoric Earth might have been like around that time - the dramatic changes in climate and geology that led to the migration of primitive humans and so forth. Could be interesting. Anyway, it's bound to be better than the movie.
