A steaming hot pile of our favorite things from around the internets.

- Check out this sweet poster for Takashi Miike's latest project, Sukiyaki Western Django. Here's hoping they manage to get a copy of this one for the Philadelphia Film Festival...
- We think we've already said this before, but each successive trailer for Iron Man makes us exponentially more excited about seeing the film, and the latest one is no exception. Hot damn, this movie looks fantastic. (Via)
- YouTube is going to add a live video feature sometime this year.
- The inevitable documentary about Harry Potter fandom is here, and it's called We Are Wizards. Check out the fantastic trailer. Looks like a lot of fun! Beware the NSFW audio, though.
- New Line Cinema is essentially no more. It will become part of Warner Bros., with New Line chiefs Bob Shaye and Michael Lynne officially stepping down.
- Activision CEO Bobby Kotick told a group of investors on Tuesday that if the company wanted to make an MMO, they'd have to make an initial investment of $500 million to $1 billion just to compete on an even footing with World of Warcraft.
- J. Michael Straczynski is working on a lot of screenwriting projects for Hollywood these days, including Clint Eastwood's The Changeling, World War Z, and a Silver Surfer spin-off movie that would feature Galactus – supposedly the real, whole Galactus, and not just a cloud.
- Freddie Highmore, who's already become a pretty famous child star, has just been hired to do the voice for Astro Boy in the upcoming movie.
- io9 presents the Seven Habits of Highly Effective Spaceship Captains. (Via)
- Region-free gaming on the Wii is possible, thanks to the FreeLoader. Interesting...
- A group of sellers has been boycotting eBay in protest of the website's new fees and feedback policies. Sadly, no one noticed, so they've decided to extend the boycott to March 9th.
- The funniest thing about the latest Penny Arcade comic is the tiny, tiny text on the crab graphic in the middle panel. If you lean in close to your monitor and squint, you can read it.
- The release date for the film adaptation of Where the Wild Things Are is currently October 16, 2009, but rumors are still swirling that the thing may be recast and reshot.
- We still don't think Watchmen will be a good movie, but we do think it was a good decision on the filmmakers' part to cut the Tales of the Black Freighter, comic-within-a-comic sequence. It's probably one of the weakest parts of the book and is not essential to the main storyline at all. Now comes word that they're still doing Tales of the Black Freighter, but as an anime DVD extra, with Gerard Butler as the voice of the captain. And that actually sounds like a really cool idea, too.
- Cinematical has some stills from an upcoming Batman anime called Batman: Gotham Knights, as well as the news that Jim Marquand—the son of Richard Marquand, who directed Return of the Jedi—has been asked by George Lucas to direct episodes of the live-action Star Wars TV show. That's kind of neat.
- Another new viral marketing campaign for The Dark Knight has surfaced.
