Home Game

stadium.jpgThe Sixers are still going (for now) as they seek to match their season-high four game winning streak (they’ve won at home against Washington 101-96, Miami 101-84, and the LA Clippers 101-80) with a win over the Dallas Mavericks tonight at 7PM at the Wach (get tickets or watch here). They will host the Memphis Grizzlies on Wednesday at 7PM at the Wach (get tickets or watch here). If you’re going to that game, get there early: they’re honoring Marc Iavaroni (member of the ’83 Championship Team) by giving away a Mr. Potato Head to the first 5,000 fans.

Flyers are hoping to turn around their losing streak (3 so far) at the NY Islanders tomorrow night. They’ll get another crack at getting back in the saddle when they host Tampa Bay on Valentine’s Day at 7PM at the Wach (get tickets or watch here)—but hopefully they’ll be solidly back in it by then. In other news, Braydon Coburn sustained an injury Saturday which turned out to be a torn artery in his buttock. We can’t make this stuff up people.

After two wins on the road against the Monarchs (3-2) and the Bruins (3-2), the Phantoms host the Syracuse Crunch tomorrow night at 7PM at the Spectrum (get tickets or listen live here).

The Wings have a bit of a break before their next home game, but are filling the time congratulating the six members who were placed on the 2008 Nll All-Star Eastern Division Ballot; one is forward Athan Ianucci, who was named NLL player of the month for January. Forwards Jake Bergey, Merrick Thomson, transition player Geoff Snider, defender Taylor Wray, and goalie Rob Blasdell round out the list.
