- The trailer for the inevitable documentary film about MMOs, called Second Skin.
- Mark Romanek, who was set to direct the upcoming Wolf Man remake, has quit the film due to various creative issues, particularly the studio's constraints on the film's schedule and budget.
- More info on that dead satellite that's hurtling back towards Earth. The U.S. military are developing a contingency plan in the apparently now likely event that bits of the satellite will strike North America.

- There was a rumor a while back that popular file hosting site RapidShare had been shut down, but now it's looking like the rumor might come true, due to a recent court decision.

- The Movie Blog has a first look at Pixar's next flick, Up.
- The same dudes who are shooting the new Friday the 13th film in May (Platinum Dunes partners Michael Bay, Brad Fuller and Andrew Form) are going to be relaunching the Nightmare on Elm Street franchise for New Line.
- Chair Entertainment are going to start making video games based on the Battle Room in Orson Scott Card's Ender's Game. The games will use Epic's Unreal Engine 3, and although the first is planned only for downloadable platforms like Xbox Live Arcade, future entries will apparently be available for next gen systems, handhelds, and PCs. The thing is... wasn't the whole point of Ender's Game that the Battle Room and other war simulators were twisted and terrible things?
- Apparently there's not just going to be a young Kirk in the new Star Trek, but also a really young Kirk. The soon-to-be-12-years-old Jimmy Bennett has been cast as the younger Kirk, and 15-year-old Spencer Daniels has been cast as Kirk's older brother, George Jr.
