- Sam Raimi will executive produce a new syndicated, live-action weekly series titled Wizard's First Rule, which is based on Terry Goodkind's fantasy book series The Sword of Truth.
- Cooper Lawrence, the author who criticized Mass Effect on a now infamous Fox News segment, has finally actually seen the game and is admitting she made a mistake, and that the game is actually not sexually explicit at all. And indeed when even Jack Thompson thinks the criticism of a video game is ridiculous, you know there's something wrong there. And finally, enjoy a parody of the Mass Effect Fox News segment.
- And while we're talking video game sex controversies, if you were offended by the whole "Hot Coffee" thing, you are now entitled to $35 as part of the settlement that finally brought an end to the class action suit against Rockstar Games.
- Electronic Arts and Marvel Comics have dissolved their partnership to produce games based on comic book characters, and they've discontinued development on a Marvel fighting game. But
Marvel was quick to point out that this doesn't mean there will never be Marvel fighting games. - Nerd World takes a look at the silver lining on the cloud that is the post-apocalypse. Funny stuff.
- Marijuana vending machines? Only in California.
- The bunnies do Pirates of the Caribbean: At World's End. Heh heh. It makes a lot more sense than the actual movie! They've also begun working on Grindhouse, God bless 'em. (Via)
