Great shot!
The Amtrak building? That's the Cira Centre.
Huh. So it is. I copied the description from Flickr without really thinking about it.
In fairness, it's where Amtrak's offices are.
And isn't it amazing how pretty the building is before they turn on those awful lights that don't always even work?
Speaking of buildings and lights, has anyone noticed how many lights are left on in the Comcast Building at night?
Seriously, coming over the Walt Whitman Bridge, it's easily the most lit up building in the city now and I can't imagine that those offices are packed with people 24 hours a day.
We all love the great new Comcast Building; it's Comcastic!
But I'd like to see them follow suit of a majority of the rest of the buildings in the city and turn off the lights when the last man leaves.
I agree. The extraneous lights in the Comcast Center are pretty stupid considering the building's LEED Certification for environmental friendliness. But the building isn't finished, so they might be construction lights. We'll need to wait a few months to see what the permanent lighting configuration will look like at night.
The Frost Bank Tower, Austin's tallest building, has a system that automatically shuts off the office lights after hours to improve the impact of the crown lighting scheme. Hopefully, Comcast will have something similar.
