
- The Daily News analyzes Paris Hilton's visit to the area yesterday, and comes to the rather surprising conclusion that she's a nice lady and her only real fault is that she's not punctual.
- The Philadelphia Museum of Art's exhibition of American artist Bruce Nauman has been selected to appear in the US Pavilion of the the 53rd Venice Biennale, "one of the most important art gatherings in the world."
- Mayor Nutter revoked a license given to SugarHouse Casino, saying the decision to allow the project to be built was rushed and not properly vetted. SugarHouse may re-apply for the license within 30 days, but Nutter says there must be a more complete hearing this time around.
- The Daily News takes an amusing look at the recently finished first chapter of former City Councilman Rick Mariano's book, tentatively titled Philadelphia Politics: Show Business for Ugly People. (What is it with people calling Philadelphians ugly?)
- The City Council's first meeting of the year yesterday saw lots of new bills being introduced, and some lessons being learned by the freshman councilmen - according to the Daily News, anyway.
- A recently wed Montgomery County couple has been arrested and accused of being the masterminds of a "crime ring that targeted more than 100 careless vehicle and property owners in Delaware, Chester, Montgomery, Bucks and Philadelphia counties since last April." According to cops, they recruited four juveniles to sneak into people's cars and houses and run off with electronic devices, credit cards, cash, guns, and other such items.
