- The DGA has reached a tentative three-year deal with the AMPTP; the hope is that the WGA will soon follow suit.
- "Time Warner Cable will experiment with a new pricing structure for high-speed Internet access later this year, charging customers based on how much data they download." This is good news for grandmas who only use the internet to forward cute emails to their families, and bad news for fans of pr0n. (Via Jill)
- A recent study shows that surgeons perform better after warming up with Wii, and now the study's authors are developing surgery training software for the console.
- They're making an upgraded, 2D, side-scrolling remake of the original Bionic Commando to complement the next-gen version. It's called Bionic Commando Rearmed, and the trailer is freaking fantastic. We're pretty pissed it's only being offered on Xbox Live Arcade and PlayStation Network.
- Our first look at Mulder and Scully in X-Files 2 could just as easily be an old stock photo of Mulder and Scully from the TV show, but it's still good to see them back in character.
- Tarantino wants to remake Faster Pussycat! Kill! Kill!, and he already has his cast picked out: Kim Kardashian, Eva Mendes, and Britney Spears. Call us crazy, but we think that sounds brilliant.

- A German company has created a drug for gamers called FpsBrain that "supposedly improves your reaction time, heightens your perception, and accelerates your neural processes." Apparently the pills are just filled with various vitamins and minerals, and some caffeine.
- A reminder to keep your online fighting online: "An in-game dispute between a pair of MMO guilds spilled over into the streets of the Russian city of Ufa recently, leaving one man dead and another in police custody."
- According to "Internet sources," the gold limit in World of Warcraft has been discovered, and it is 214,748 gold, 36 silver, and 48 copper.
- It was a record-breaking year in 2007 for the video game industry: $17.9 billion dollars in sales. Damn. Wish we had us a piece of that action.
