- Nintendo has released its lineup of DS and Wii releases for the first half of 2008. WiiWare will also be launching in that time period, supposedly. And Myst will be coming to your DS in March.
- Steve Jobs' 90-minute keynote at MacWorld was just too long, which is why this version of the keynote, edited down to just 60 seconds (via), is so great. Now they need to cut it down to 30 seconds and replace everyone with bunnies! Oh, and if you want to recreate the excitement of the moment when he took the MacBook Air out of the manila envelope, you can now buy yourself your very own snazzy manila folder notebook sleeve for your MacBook Air (via).
- Lasagna Cat is a series of live-action recreations of Garfield comic strips on YouTube. You can find a collection of them here. Although they are very faithful recreations, they are also rather strange and disturbing.
- Check out the incredibly impressive pictures and video of a scale model of the Battle of Pelennor Fields from The Lord of the Rings made entirely out of candy. The same folks also made a scale model of the Battle of Helm's Deep. (Via Sarah)

- TIME has an interesting interview with J.J. Abrams about Cloverfield, the monster movie he produced that's coming out this weekend.
- If you missed the pilot episode of Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles, good news! You can now download it for free on iTunes. And we'd suggest you do so because we thought it was pretty cool.
- The trailer for J.J. Abrams' Star Trek is not online yet, but we do have a detailed description of it.
- The Bank Job is one Jason Statham movie that actually looks like it might be good. Just check out the trailer.
- Looks like it's official now, folks: Justice League of America is on hold. Boo! They seriously need to get this writers' strike worked out.
- The prefect gift for your favorite computer professional who happens to work next to a tank at Sea World: the waterproof mouse!
- Writers' strike or not, the Oscars will still be held on February 24th, but they do have an as-yet-unexplained alternative version planned, in case they can't go through with the usual full-on spectacle.
- Infamous Italian horror director Dario Argento will be making an English-language film called Giallo in Turin in February. It'll star Ray Liotta as a cop engaging in a cat-and-mouse game with a psychopath played by Vincent Gallo. Dario's daughter Asia will also star.
- Microsoft wants to put personalized video ads on your shopping cart. Gah!
- Hah! We kind of want the WiFi-detecting T-shirt.
- Christopher Columbus brought back a lot of interesting things from the New World - including, apparently, syphilis. Thanks, Chris! (Via Jill)
