Whiz of the Web: Thirsty Thursday
A tall, icy glass of our favorite internet junk, just for you.

- How about a deep-fried, cheese-filled burger patty made entirely of bacon? We'll take a couple over here, please! (Via)
- Cinematical points out that pretty much anything you might want to know about Cloverfield has now leaked online, so they're going to stop talking about it now. But if that's still not enough for you, Phillyist's cousin LAist has an interview with the director.
- This Phillyist is seriously pissed that he doesn't own an Xbox 360 or a PS3 now, because it's just been revealed that the secret characters in Soul Calibur IV (which will only be available on the aforementioned platforms) are Yoda (Xbox) and Darth Vader (PS3). Don't believe it? Check out the video! Damn, this game looks amazing. (Via Mike V.)
- NNNNOOOOO!! Apparently, Alvin and the Chipmunks did so well at the box office (why?!?!), they're talking about doing a sequel featuring the Chipettes. Sometimes, we lose all hope for America.
- Audio from the Dark Knight trailer + video from Adam West's Batman movie = comedy gold.
- Time for today's CES round-up. Shiny Shiny found a lot of interesting products at the show, including the iPod Boom Box, RC toys based on Leonardo Da Vinci's designs, and an RC cooler.
- Jimmy Carter's got what America needs right here. The language is NSFW, but that's part of what makes it so awesome. (Via)
- Electronic Gaming Monthly's editor in chief has come right out and said that "Midway, Ubisoft, and Sony have all denied the magazine access to their products as a result of bad reviews."
- Is it possible to reach the level cap in World of Warcraft playing as a complete pacifist? At least one gamer is trying to find out.
- Linden Labs has banned traditional in-game banking in Second Life, a decision seen as an attempt to avoid government intervention.
- We wouldn't be all that interested in DeathSpank: Episode 1: Orphans of Justice, except for the fact that it's being described as "the perfect melding of a Monkey Island style adventure game with the wicked RPG game play of Diablo." That's hot.
- Turns out that Xbox Live lawsuit probably isn't going anywhere, and probably won't be worth much even if it does.
- A new character named Crimson Viper is coming to Street Fighter 4, complete with a secret origin and a fighting style that's new to the series.
- Joystiq found an interesting new site to watch gameplay videos online: WeGame. (Via)
- According to third-party developer Engine Software, Nintendo's WiiWare service will be launching this March.
- If you actually get a whole lunch hour where you work, you can spend a good portion of it watching this 40-minute-long interview with Tim Burton. (Via)
- Seeing as how the Oscars broadcast might not happen this year due to the writers' strike, the Guardian Unlimited was good enough to offer us ten alternatives to the usual Academy Awards ceremony. (Via)
- eFilmCritic selects the 2007 Whores of the Year, celebrating really questionable quotes about really questionable movies by really questionable critics. (Via)
- The most recent tip in the contribute section made us aware of the fact that Philly's own Transplex Center for Medicine and Rehabilitation is the latest institution to use the Wii as a physical therapy tool.

Ugh, that EGM article is so ridiculous. First that one guy gets canned because of Lynch & Kane (which is a horrible game, btw), and now this. Bah!
