- According to Variety, the writers' strike has reached an interesting milestone: it's now cost writers more money than they were hoping to gain. The good news is, the strike might be helping the video game industry. Another possible consequence of the strike is that the Golden Globes might not be televised. We're sure you're heartbroken.
- Apparently Microsoft's Xbox Live service is still busted, but they're working hard to get it fixed.
- Tomorrow at 8:30PM there's going to be a virtual rally for presidential candidate Ron Paul in World of Warcraft.
- Apparently there's a part in the Bible explaining why the heathen act of cutting down a tree and decorating it for the solstice is a silly and vain tradition. Uh... wow. Merry Christmas, everybody!
- A moment of silence, please, for the Netscape browser, which will be officially dead as of February 1, 2008. AOL is going to cease development on all versions of the browser on that date.
- For the paranoid, untrusting internet surfer (which, let's face it, should be all of us), TinyURL offers a preview function so you can see what URL you're actually going to before you end up there.

- Here's an odd casting rumor: word is that Tyler Perry will be in the new Star Trek movie, playing the head of Starfleet Academy, who acts in a prosecutorial role in a courtroom sequence after a young Kirk cheats on a test (probably the Kobayashi Maru test) and must be punished.
- Some more details on how Schwarzenegger might be involved in the next few Terminator movies.
