A steaming hot pile of our favorite things from around the internets.

- 25 more films are being added to the Library of Congress' national registry, our favorites being Close Encounters of the Third Kind, Oklahoma!, Back to the Future, 12 Angry Men, The Man Who Shot Liberty Valance, and The Women. (Via Jill)
- The Movie Blog has a first look at a new Disney animated film called Bolt. It's about a dog who's the star of a TV show in which he plays a superhero. But he thinks he actually does have superpowers. Wow, why don't they just call him Buzz Lightyear and get it over with? Anyway, he and a couple of animal buddies have to go on an amazing cross-country journey together.
- Rumor is that Microsoft is finally going to jump on the bandwagon and get themselves a motion-sensing controller for the Xbox 360.
- Scientists say silicon chips have reached their limits of speed and performance, and this is holding back progress in game design.
- Now a doctor is claiming that playing violent video games can slow blood flow to the brain, and prolonged exposure can lead to brain damage. Sounds like bullshit to us. What will they blame video games for next? Erectile dysfunction?
- Today's round-up of year-end lists includes Wired's 10 Favorite Photos From 2007, and P2P's Most-Traded Movies, TV and Songs of 2007. Meanwhile, Cinematical is giving away some Awesome Awards.
- Wow, the Wii gamer glove looks really useless. As Shiny Shiny points out, you can easily replicate it by just strapping the Remote to your hand with an elastic band. And we're not really sure why you'd want to do that anyway.
- Darpa-funded scientists have put together a nasal spray that seems to eliminate sleepiness with no side effects. It's a naturally occurring brain hormone called orexin A. Keep in mind this isn't a replacement for caffeine, it's a replacement for sleep. Which is something we'd love to have. We could do so much more if we didn't have to waste eight hours a day sleeping! But of course, the stuff's first application will probably be in the treatment of narcolepsy, not in the treatment of busy bloggers.
- Time for another amusing Photoshop Phriday at Something Awful! This one features goofy alterations of shopping cart safety warnings. This is pur personal favorite. (Via)
- It's Portal, made out of LEGO bricks! (Via)
- Word is Kristin Kreuk of Smallville has joined the cast of Street Fighter, and Cinematical expects she'll be playing Chun Li
- Cinematical has a few of the first images from the new Incredible Hulk movie, and while they're not mind-blowing, and they don't include a glimpse of our big green friend, they are pretty cool.
