- Let's round up some Christmas leftovers to enjoy this afternoon, shall we? The Movie Blog posted its All Time Top 10 Christmas Movies, and we agree with... six of them. Meanwhile, XPN had a bunch of free downloads of holiday-appropriate tracks by local Philly bands. Then there's a documentary on the making of Chuck Jones' animated How the Grinch Stole Christmas, a round-up of how the various MMOs celebrated Christmas (via), and Joystiq's picture gallery of the Christmas cards they received from game companies. And finally, if you didn't quite get what you wanted yesterday, and you want to put Santa through some pain, or if you did get what you wanted and would like to thank Santa with a permanent gift, then either way Tattoo Santa is the thing to do (via).
- Word is, Pixar's Up might be based on Don Quixote. And when you read the plot summary ("a 70-something man who befriends a clueless young man and sets out on a global adventure to fights beasts and villains") you can definitely see the resemblance.
- For what it's worth, Keith Urban, who's playing Dr. McCoy in the upcoming Star Trek prequel, says the movie is very faithful to the spirit of the original show.
- Wired has a lot of year-end lists for us, including the 2007 Foot-in-Mouth Awards, the Top 10 Startups Worth Watching in 2008, some predictions for 2008, and, oddest of all, the Top 10 New Organisms of 2007.
- A new age-restricted trailer for Will Farrell's upcoming comedy Semi Pro is now available on the official website. (Via)
