Countdown to 2008: Your Favorite Phillyist Posts of 2007
Every weekday of December (except for December 25, that is), Phillyist will be counting down to 2008 with our highlights from the past year and our predictions for the next. If you have a list you'd like to submit, let us know!

You guys picked the items in this list - which made this post a lot easier to write! And we thank you for that, because we're really kind of burning out on this whole "a list every weekday of December" thing. Why did we decide to do this again?
10. New Stop on the Rittenhouse Square Tour
We're happy to see that Star gets a spot on this list, thanks to Sarah's post about the dedication of Star's memorial plaque in Rittenhouse Square.
9. Royal Flush: Toilet Tales
Another amusing entry in Katie's old series about bathroom etiquette and cleanliness, this one focuses on a website about all things fecal called 2matters.
8. A Beginner's Guide to Toynbee Tiles - Part I
The first episode in Joe Ross' fascinating two-part series on the mysterious Toynbee Tiles - which can be found all around the streets of Philadelphia, and many other cities around the world - was justly a big favorite. Definitely check out Part II, as well.
7. Paul Mecurio Tells Us How It Hangs
Pencopal's outrageous, hilarious interview with stand-up comedian Paul Mecurio is a true Phillyist classic.
6. Phillyist Reviews... Six Seconds in Charlack
One of Jill's more insightful and fascinating reviews of local theatre.
5. Love in the Time of... Bricking
Probably the best and funniest entry in Katie's old series about love, sex, and hitting people with bricks.
4. Five Questions With Erotica Editor Rachel Kramer Bussel
This interview with erotica writer/editor/blogger Rachel Kramer Bussel is just as interesting and titillating as you might think.
3. All Access: Comcast Center
Matt's completely engaging and visually stunning photo essay of the construction of Philadelphia's Comcast Center. This one's a must-see.
2. A Friend Under Fire
One of our most moving and important posts this year was this entry by Joe Ross about the things his friend, a US Marine from the area, was experiencing in Iraq.
1. Making Your Wedding Unique
Former Phillyist (and now SFist) Spencer wrote this post, an extremely popular, and extremely positive, review of a local production of the one-(wo)man show, The Wedding Consultant.

Wow, I forgot how much I enjoy the concept of bricking.
There is no such thing as a bad time to reacquaint yourself with the art of bricking.
Hello from (not really) far away :)
#1 Post! That's awesome...
That really was a great show... we had no idea what to expect and we were so taken aback by the talent and originality of the production!
Very cool!
