The best of the internet, chopped into tiny bits and grilled for your enjoyment.

- Filter has released their list of the overall Top Ten Albums of 2007, as well as a bunch of supplementary top 10 albums by their staff. Mostly unsurprising indie rock of the moment picks, but some interesting stuff. And hey these remind us of other lists we've seen lately... (Via Samantha)
- We couldn't care less about the upcoming reality show Clash of the Choirs... but it does have that Philly connection, so we felt honor-bound to waste a bullet point on it. (Via Izzy of 360i)
- Argh! Negotiations between the producers and the writers have broken down again, and now the Producer's Guild has released a statement explaining what's going on from their point of view.
- Cow farts are, believe it or not, a big contributor to global warming, but scientists may have found a solution to this problem: transfer the stomach bacteria from kangaroos, which fart much less and digest more efficiently, to cows. Bam! Scott Adams reads this story, and muses about it in typically amusing fashion.
- Toren Atkinson is back with another episode of his history of comics series! This time he takes on the Golden Age.
- The word from director George Miller is that Justice League is still on track to start filming next year, but it will have a different title when it gets before the cameras.
- M. Night Shyamalan's next film, The Happening, has a poster! Pretty cool. In cased you missed them, check out our earlier posts about the making of this film here and here.
- Woo hoo! The new trailer for Jumper makes it look even cooler than before. Can't wait for this one. And speaking of new trailers, here's one for Inkheart (via), yet another film adaptation of a popular fantasy book. We found the book this is based on to be rather dull and long-winded, but the movie looks like it might be pretty decent, although we're a little surprised that they give away the story's central secret right at the outset. Oh, but if you want a seriously awesome trailer, you need to watch this one right here. Just be aware that is extremely bloody. Bloody awesome!
- They're going to remake Fritz Lang's silent classic Metropolis. We could actually see this being pretty interesting, as the original film, while incredibly innovative and visually stunning, is actually pretty corny and melodramatic when you get right down to it.
- Your Wii updates for today: the console is so hard to get in the UK, due to demand and production shortages, Nintendo is actually going to pull all their ads for it and replace them with ads for the DS, which is easier to find. Meanwhile, if you really, really hate wires of any kind, you might be excited to learn that you can now purchase a Wireless Nunchuck for your Wii. And finally, if you bought the Wii version of Guitar Hero III and are disappointed by the fact that it doesn't play in stereo, Activision says don't worry, they will hook you up with free replacement discs early next year that do have stereo sound.
- Ouch! Big budget fantasy epic The Golden Compass, which we actually rather liked, did very poorly at the American box office this weekend, which is bad news for production company New Line Cinema, who was already struggling. Happily, the film appears to be doing rather better in Europe. We're hoping they at least manage to get the sequels made. We really want to see what they do with that third movie...
- Hee hee hee. Inappropriate pop-up books by the fine folks at Something Awful. (Via)
- You can read Joystiq's live-blog of the 2007 Video Game Awards, or just skip straight to the announcement of the winners. And while we're talking lists of great games, check out GameTap's 10 greatest rhythm games of all time (via). Guitar Hero comes in at a surprisingly middle-of-the-pack 4.
- Slot cars are cool. Mario Kart is cool. An officially licensed Mario Kart slot car track and cars? Exponentially cool. (Via)
- This little mockumentary contains in the center of it a brilliant little short film by Martin Scorsese in perfect mimicry of the Hitchcock style. Definitely worth the time it takes to watch.
- This piece at JIVEMagazine.com pretty much nails exactly what it means to be a Star Wars fan. Truly excellent. (Via Sam)
- And finally, a seriously brilliant and twisted mash-up. (Via Jill, via Jess)
